Memorial building inaugurated in honour of Márton Kerecsendi-Kiss in Bicske

A memorial house was inaugurated in honour of Márton Kerecsendi-Kiss on Friday in Bicske in County Fejér. The late poet, writer and teacher operated Hungary’s first Roma school in this building from 1938.

Minister of State Kovács outlines inclusion strategy in Ferencváros

HUF 250 million available this year as part of the Social Land Programme

Zoltán Kovács: Roma inclusion is achievable by resorting to practical means

70 Million Forints in Compensation for the victims of Roma Murders

According to the proposal put forward by the Fehér Gyűrű ("White Ring") Public Benefit Association tasked with performing the preparative work, the Government is contributing seventy million forints towards helping the victims of the Roma murders. The measure will provide assistance for more than 30 affected families, taking into consideration their living conditions and requirements.

Roma cultural grant launched

The Government has allocated HUF 50 million for the organisation of Roma cultural events and the presentation of Roma cultural content and products to the public as part of a government tender, in response to which entries are expected to be submitted by 26 March, Minister of State for Social Inclusion Zoltán Kovács announced on Wednesday in Budapest.
